Jordan Gill TKO7 Michael Conlan... In a super featherweight contest in Belfast, Northern Ireland, underdog Jordan Gill inflicted a second-straight stoppage defeat on Michael Conlan, casting serious doubt on the future of Conlan, who was once touted as a future champion. The end came in round seven with Conlan trapped in a corner, absorbing Gill's punches. It was a huge win for Gill (28-2-1), because he too was coming off a loss, to Kiko Martinez, a two-division champion who was considered on the downside of his career prior to the win over Gill.

 

Conlan wrote afterwards: "Tonight just wasn’t my night. I’m going to take some time out and be with my family. Congratulations to Jordan Gill who was victorious tonight.
