Julian Williams: I will dominate Jeison Rosario

Greg Leon: How's everything going in camp for your upcoming January 18th WBA/IBF juniormiddleweight title defense against Jeison Rosario? Julian Williams: "Everything is going good, it's kind of like I'm turning it down now in camp, I'm sharpening up and finish up, I'm feeling strong." GL: What can we expect to see from you on fight night? JW: "I'm going to be alert, I'm going to be sharp. I'm going to be prepared for anything he brings, you can expect to see me dominate and see me win."

GL: Is making your first defense as world champion in Philadelphia important to you ?

JW: "It just so happened to shake out this way. I'm thankful and happy that the fight ended up in Philly, but as a fighter it doesn't matter to me where the fight happens, as long as I get to stay busy and keep getting better."

GL: Any extra pressure fighting at home? Is it more difficult with extra requests you're getting?

JW: "Lots more requests, but I try to duck that. I don't let too many people get to me. If my peoples want to come to the fight then they got to buy tickets like everyone else."

GL: Is Rosario going the distance?

JW: "I'm preparing for twelve rounds, if the knockout comes it comes."

GL: What do you know about him as a fighter?

JW: "He's done really good at the level he's been fighting on, I will say that. He's got a knockout loss to Nathaniel Gallimore and he's come back strong from that so you've got to respect that."

GL: What do you consider your biggest advantage coming into this fight?

JW: "I feel like I have an advantage in everything. The skill advantage, the speed advantage, everything. I think that I have the advantages everywhere, but that doesn't mean I don't have to be on my P's and Q's because I do. I have to be 100% ready and focused and I will be."

GL: Why do you think Jarrett Hurd decided to opt out of the rematch?

JW: "I have no idea. I don't even want to...you know what it feels like when people keep talking to me about this? It feels like some Love and Hip Hop reality TV bs. I wish him the best and hope he becomes a champion again."

GL: What do you want a victory on the 18th to lead to?

JW: "Just big fights, no matter where they at and who they with, I want big fights."

GL: What did you think of the Jermell Charlo- Tony Harrison rematch?

JW: "I think it was an amazing fight and it was much more exciting than I thought it was going to be. I think Tony was winning, but Charlo pulled it out his ass. I was impressed with both fighters."

GL: Is Charlo tops on your hit list for 2020?

JW: "Right now I'm only focused on Jeison Rosario. Ask me again after the fight."

GL: Closing thoughts for the fans...

JW: "I don't really have any. Just tune in on January 18th."
