Junior Younan ready for bigger fights at super middleweight

Junior Younan 12 KO1 Ricardo A. Luna... Junior Younan (20-0-1 with 12 KOs) scored a highlight-reel knockout over Ricardo Adrian Luna (26-12-2 with 7 KOs) over thr weekend. The knockout came at 2:53 in the first round of a super middleweight bout on a show in Huntington, New York. Younan, a Brooklyn, New York native, now seeks to fight the top names in his weight class after recently signing with Joe DeGuardia's Star Boxing.

ADDITIONAL RESULTS

Irish wetlerweight Ryan O'Rourke (11-0, 3 KOs) returned to the ring after a year-long, injury filled layoff and had to work very hard to take the unanimous decision against determined Michal Bulik (6-7, 2 KOs) of Poland. The official scores were 59-55, 59-56 and 58-56.

Yeuri Andujar and previously undefeated Ronny Reyes engaged in an exciting junior lightweight battle. The boxers went toe-to-toe for the entire six rounds, each taking a turn having his way. In the end, the Dominican Andujar (7-6-1 with 4 KOs) scored the upset majority decision over Reyes(4-1, 1 KO) by scores of 57-57, 58-56 and a seemingly unfair score of 60-54 by judge John Basile, for Andujar.

The opening fight of the night was an engaging super middleweight battle between pro debuting John McDonagh and Tevin Terrance. The fight was an all-out slugfest. The fittingly appropriate end result was a split draw, 39-37 for each fighter and 38-38 on the final scorecard. Terrance is now 1-1-2 and McDonagh 0-0-1. Both men were winners
