The eight-round bridgerweight bout was a rematch between Rivas (26-1, 18 KOs) and Sylvera “Sly” Louis (8-4, 4 KOs). Making his bridgeweight debut, the WBC #1 ranked Rivas outclassed his opponent until Louis failed to continue fighting after three rounds, headlining GYM’s first promotion in 16 months due to coronavirus pandemic restrictions. “I felt very strong physically and my reflexes were sharp,” Rivas said after the fight. “I feel like I’m going to show some great things in this new weight class (201-224 lbs.). My goal is to become world champion and I will wait for what comes.” Rivas, a 2008 Colombia Olympian, won the first fight with Louis by way of a four-round majority decision nearly nine years ago. source for all results: GYM Groupe Yvon Michel)
