Tonight, former 122-pound titlist Angelo Leo will continue his featherweight campaign, stepping into the ring against Eduardo Baez of Mexico. The bout is scheduled for Wednesday night at the Whitesands Events Center in Plant City, Florida. After taking close to a year and a half off, Leo has been on a good run since late 20023, when he defeated Nicolas Polanco at this same venue. In January of this year he returned to the ring to defeat Mike Plani. From New Mexico, Leo is 23-1 as a pro. Baez, age 28 and 23-5-2, comes in with two wins in a row after losing three of four fights in 2022. 

 

Joining the main event will be Puerto Rican super featherweight Jaycob Gomez (9-0-1, 7 KOs), who faces the equally  ambitious Jose Arellano (11-1, 6 KOs) over eight rounds. Tampa’s Dominic Valle (8-0, 6 KOs) continues his pro journey against Angel Vazquez (12-1, 6 KOs), in another super featherweight contest. Italian-Cuban, and now Las Vegas based Yoel Angeloni (2-0, 1 KO), makes his ProBox TV debut against Las Vegas native Michael Williams (2-1, 1 KO).
