Main event in Fenway Park scored a draw

Jahyae Brown D8 Anthony Vieira ... Jahyae “Golden Child” Brown battled undefeated Anthony Vieira to a split draw in the main event of Fight Night at Fenway on Saturday night in Boston. In an eight-round contest that remained competitive until the final bell, the judges turned in contrasting scorecards: one scored the bout 77-75 for Brown, another had it even at 76-76, while the third surprised many with an 80-72 card in favor of Vieira. That made the official result was a split draw. With the result, Brown’s record moved to 19-2-1, while Vieira recorded the first draw of his professional career, remaining unbeaten at 11-0-1. Following the contest, promoters acknowledged that a rematch would be appealing given how evenly matched the fighters appeared. However, they also noted that both men showed the talent and potential to pursue bigger opportunities beyond the New England regional circuit.

The bout headlined a ten-fight card promoted by Nolan Bros. Boxing in front of approximately 2,000 spectators at Fenway Park. The event continued boxing’s return to the iconic Boston venue, a historic sports landmark that has once again welcomed professional boxing in recent years.
