More WBA belt shenanigans

Binan City in the Philippines will host a minimumweight bout with the WBA interim title at stake. Ex-title holder Victorio Saludar will face Robert Paradero on Saturday in a bout between two Filippinos. Saludar, who is not the problem here, is 20-4 overall, 2-2 in world title fights. He held the WBO minimumweight title from 2018-2019. His last fight was in December 2019. Paradero is 18-0 but he's grossly untested and inactive since April 2019. Paradero has fought only nine rounds in the last three years. According to the WBA website, Thammanoon Niyomtrong a/k/a Knockout CP Freshmart is the WBA superchampion and there is no regular champion listed. Both men made weight, 104.5 pounds for the heavily favored Saludar and 104.4 for Paradero.
