Paul vs. Tyson rescheduled for Friday, Nov. 15th

Jake Paul announced on social media that his novelty fight - eight two-minute rounds vs. the legendary, but soon to be 58 years old Mike Tyson-- has been rescheduled to Friday, November 15th. The venue will remain the same as scheduled, at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, near Dallas. Paul (9-1, 6 KOs) was originall scheduled to battle Tyson (50-6, 44 KOs) on July 20th but Tyson was recently hospitalized with reported ulcer-related issues. Tyson of course, is a former world heavyweight champion from the 1980s and 1990s. Paul is a cruiserweight but earlier this week reported his weight at 219 pounds. The women's super fight, a rematch between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano, will remain as the chief supporting bout.

When initially announcing the fight, Paul had this to say on social media: "I idolized Mike Tyson until the first time I met him four years ago…he called me Logan [that is Paul's brother's name]. [I am] going to make sure he knows who I am real close and personal. He’s the greatest heavyweight of all time…the most vicious KO artist ever. But I’m younger, I’m faster and I’m going to be working my ass off to get stronger.  A member of my team…asked me if I’m sure that I want to do this…yes, yes I do. Heavyweight. This event is not a pay per view . Free to all 260 million Netflix subscribers…500 million plus homes. Live."
