Results from France: Post-pregnancy Estelle Mossely continues to roll

Estelle Mossely W8 Emma Gongora... Estelle Mossely, an Olympic champion who also happens to be Tony Yoka's wife, defeated French kickboxer Emma Gongora by wide unanimous decision. The win was particularly impressive for Mossely because it was her second in the last two months, and she reportedly gave birth to her second child just six months ago. (Although if that fact is true, it would mean Mossely likely fought while pregnant in 2019). Even more impressive, Mossely remained at her pre-pregnancy weight class, lightweight. Mossely holds amateur wins over two resining champions: Katie Taylor and Mikaela Mayer. Gongora is just 0-2 as pro boxer, but as a kickboxer, she is a reported 30-3. Against Mossely, she fought competitively despite a cut over her left eye and deserves praise for her performance, given that she accepted the fight on late notice. There will certainly be other pro boxing opportunities for her if she wants them.

Viktor Vykhyst W6 Kamil Sokolosky... Heavyweight hopeful Viktor Vykhyst a/k/a Viktor Faust continues to develop as a pro, defeating iron-tough trialhorse Kamil Sokolosky via six-round decision. Vykhyst knocked down Sokolsky and bloodied his nose en route to a wide verdict. Vykhyst was a Ukrainian Olympic candidate for 2021 but left the program and now fights out of Germany. Vykhyst is now 5-0 with all fights coming in 2020, but this was the first time he could not stop his opponent inside the distance. Sokolosky, who lost to Dillian Whyte in his second pro fight, is now 10-20-2.

Volkan Gokcek  W6 Aboubeker Bechelaghem...There was almost an upset on the undercard in Nantes, France as journeyman Aboubeker Bechelaghem was announced as the winner over Turkey's previously undefeated Volkan Gokcek by majority decision, but Gokcek remained in the ring while the scorecards were reviewed, and the verdict changed to a split-decision win for Gokcek (6-0). Bechelaghem sees his pro record even out at 12-12-2. source: espn+
