Soro stopped Prestot, a late replacement, in the fifth round. Soro was slated to fight for the vacant WBA regular junior middleweight championship against Magomed Kurvanov but Kurvanov was recently injured, so Soro remains the WBA mandatory contender. Julian WIlliams holds the WBA super championship in the division, but is not expected to face Soro soon.
