Probellum announced back-to-back shows for March 18th and 19th in Dubai's Duty Free Tennis Stadium. No word on the March 18th boxers yeat, but the March 19th show will be headlined by IBF flyweight champion Sunny Edwards (17-0, 4 KOs) defending against Pakistan's Muhammad Waseem (12-1, 8 KOs). Waseem failed in a 2018 IBF title bid against Moruti Mthalane.Edwards won the title from Mthalane, and this will be his second defense.
Probellum heads back to Dubai following its inaugural event, which took place at the Coca-Cola Arena in December, hosted by legendary ring announcer Michael Buffer. “We are absolutely delighted to be returning to Dubai for our first event of 2022,” said Richard Schaefer, President of Probellum. “Probellum has made a huge impact in the boxing world in a short period and we have some major plans for this year, starting with these two history-making shows in Dubai. There was a fantastic response to our first-ever event, which took place in Dubai at the end of last year, and we know there is a big appetite for boxing in the city.
The March 19th co-feature sees former 140-pound title holder Regis Prograis (26-1, 22 KOs) clash with Tyrone McKenna (22-2-1, 6 KOs).
