With former world lightweight champion Devin Haney now officially a junior welterweight, the WBA has upgraded Gervonta "Tank" Davis (pictured) to its full lightweight champion. Previously, Davis was the regular champion, a secondary designation. Boxingtalk will now recognize Davis as a two-division champion. Haney is still listed as the IBF champion. Meanwhile, WBC champion Shakur Stevenson is not calling out Davis, but rather is focused on his WBO counterpart, Carlos Navarrete. Stevenson tweeted, "I like fighting the fighters that [are] young and undefeated, [who are] accomplishing things in the sport like myself. Somebody tag Navarrate cause I don’t know his [Twitter handle]. Let’s make a big fight, USA vs Mexico. I'm not into taking the easy route. Let’s get the WBC and WBO involved..."
