Former world junior welterweight champion Josh Taylor exlained why he rejected an offer to fight a rematch vs. Jack Caterall. Taylor wrote: "I don’t accept offers at an 80% pay cut! Especially for a fight that’s bigger than the first fight. I don’t know anyone on the planet that would fight for that kind of pay cut! If Matchroom are serious about making the fight they’ve gotta put a serious offer in. Simple as that." When Taylor owned all four 140-pound titles in early 2022, he won a highly disputed decision against Caterll. Since then, Taylor has fought only once, losing the world championship to Teofimo Lopez.
