Jack Culcay W12 Abbas Baraou... In an IBF junior middleweight eliminator held in Berlin, Jack Culcay (29-4) won a split decision over Abbas Baraou (9-1). The decision was widely criticized on social media as a robbery perpetrated against Baraou. Official scores were 116-113 for Boraou, overruled by 115-114 and 115-113 for Culcay. Judge Iko Bebic came under the strongest criticism for giving the first five rounds to Culcay, which was inconsistent with the other two judges, who scored the first five rounds 4-0-1 for Baraou and 3-2 for Culcay. Both boxers are German.
Vincent Feigenbutz W12 Jama Saidi.... On the same show, Germany's Vincent Feigenbutz dropped down to middleweight and started his 160-pound campaign with a twelve-round victory over Jama Saidi. Feigenbutz was coming off a failed IBF 168-pound title challenge vs. Caleb Plant. He is now 32-3 for his career. Saidi, also from Germany, falls to 17-2. source: sauerland event
