The Boxingtalk Scoreboard: undercard results from Mexico

Jorge García W8 José Bernardino Lozano... On the undercard in Tijuana, Mexico, Jorge "Chino" García of Los Mochis imposed his experience to gain a road victory over previously undefeated José Bernardino Lozano. García (19-2, 16 KOs) was dangerous from a distance against Lozano (8-1, 8 KOs), who had won all of his fights by knockout, but who had never gone past two rounds. Lozano got frustrated, and in the fourth round he was deducted a point for hitting low. At the end of the eight rounds in this welterweight fight, García took the victory over the hometown boxer by unanimous decision, with the scorecards reading 79-72, 78-73 and 77-74.

Erik Rojas W6 Jonathan Rojas... In an entertaining match, Ensenada's Èrik “Terrible” Robles (7-1) won a deserved split decision victory over Verracruz's Jonathan “Tachi” Rojas (claimed to be 6-2). Rojas is the nephew of former champion Tomás “Gusano” Rojas who was in his corner-- which is good news because Rojas' last fight ended with him unconscious from an illegal blow rto the bacl of his head. At the end of the six rounds in the super bantamweight division, Robles was victorious when two judges scored it 58-56 in his favor. The other judge saw Rojas as the winner, 56-58. source for both results: zanfer promotions
