Three big boxing shows take place this week

Welcome to a huge week for boxing, and DAZN pay-per-view in general. There are three big shows set for this week, two of them on DAZN pay-per-view. Friday May 2nd kicks off the weekend from Times Square in New York City. Ryan Garcia ends his PED-related suspension to face former 140-pound title holder Rolly Romero; Former two-division champion Devin Haney faces former 140-pound champion Jose Ramirez; and former two-division champion Teofimo Lopez is matched against the undefeated Arnold Barboza Jr.

The second DAZN show takes place the following day, May 3rd, headlined by world super middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez looking to regain the only belt he is missing from William Scull. (Alvarez vacated the IBF title last year, and Scull picked it up). Also on the card is a WBC cruiserweight championship fight between Badou Jack and Noel Mikaelian; a super middleweight rematch between Bruno Surace and former 154-pound title holder Jaime Munguia, and a heavyweight bout between contenders Martin Bakole and Efe Ajagba.

The third big show of the weekend is a Top Rank / ESPN presentation that will see world super bantamweight champion Naoya Inoue come to Las Vegas to defend against Ramon Cardenas. In the co-feature, Rafael Espinoza will defend the WBO featherweight title against Fabio Maidana.
