In a video announcement, former champion Brian Mitchell revealed upcoming bouts for South African two junior middleweights, Brandon Thysse and Roarke Knapp. The duo will be in separate bouts on the next Golden Gloves show, which will be held at Emperors Palace in Kempton Park on June 26th. Thysse (13-2-1) will face Tomi Silvennoinen of Finland. Thysse's last two fights were wins over Knapp and Boyd Allen, both by stoppage. Silvennoinen is 9-3 and has lost two straight by decision. Knapp (11-1-1) is matched against Howard Cospolite of France. Knapp rebounded from the loss to Thysse with two late 2020 wins over domestic competition. Cospolite is 18-8-3 and is coming off a June points loss to Germany's Jack Culcay.
