Greg Leon: Congrats on recently signing with Salita Promotions. When can we expect you to make your Salita Promotions debut?
Umar Salamov:"My first fight with Salita Promotions will take place on April 20th.Â
GL: You made your cruiserweight debut in your last fight. Will you continue at cruiserweight or move down to light heavyweight?Â
US: "No, I will not change weight classes. My fights will take place at my usual weight of light heavyweight."
GL: What made you decide to make you American debut after twenty one fights?
US: "I wanted to work with an American company for a long time. I think it's never too late to change and go ahead."
GL: Who are some of the fighters you're looking to mix it up with?
US: "There are no specific names. I want to fight the best with those who stand in the top. I'm ready to fight the champions and top contenders right now."
GL: What are your goals in boxing?
US: "To become the unified light heavyweight champion of the world."
GL: What part of your game do you feel needs the most sharpening?
US: "The ability to keep the distance and a good jab."
GL: How many times do you plan to fight this year?
US: "At least three times."
GL: Is there anything you'd like to say in closing?
US: "I sincerely believe that we, along with Salita Promotions will work together and in the near future we will show an excellent result of our joint work."
