Venezuela's Roger Gutierrez, the former WBA 130-pound champion, will start a new campaign on March 3rd in his native Maracaibo. Fighting for the first time since losing his title to Hector Garcia in Auguat, Gutierrez takes on his second consecutive Dominican, Henry Delgado (20-1). Warning: Delgado's record seems misleading, as he's never fought outside of the Dominican Republic and his record was compiled against extremely weak opposition. Gutierrez (26-4-1) says he has returned to the gym and feels ready to start a new path in his career. His reign commenced in January 2021, when he defeated René Alvarado, and he successfully defended the title in an immediate rematch before he lost to García.
