WBC champion Badou Jack [who was reinstated from champion in recess back to champion without participating in a boxing match] will fight Noel Mikaelyan [who was demoted from champion to champion in recess], in a fight that will take place on May 3rd in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Ryan Rozicki, who was supposed to challenge Jack but got injured, remains the mandatory challenger. But the WBC also authorized an interim title fto be awarded to the winner of Michal Cieslak vs. Yamil Peralta. Now Cieslak-Peralta has "found complications to be staged" so the WBC has authorized the interim title to be contested between Cieslak and former world light heavyweight champion Jean Pascal (pictured) in a date to be determined in Canada with the winner committed to fight Peralta.
