WBC reports Usyk vs. Dubois II will happen July 12th

According to the WBC, a rematch between Olekander Usyk and Daniel Dubois "is official," although formal announcement for the fight has yet to be issued. The WBC reports the fight will be held at Wembley Stadium in London and will take place on July 12th. If the report is correct, the two men will face each other for the unification of the four heavyweight belts. Usyk holds three titles plus a win over Dubois and is therefore considered to be the true world champion. But there was some controversy when Usyk faced Dubois in August 2023. Usyk was knocked down by a boderline body shot from Dubois that was ruled to be a low blow. Usyk was given extra time to recover and Dubois became discouraged and was eventually stoped. Usyk later vacated the IBF title, which Dubois now holds. Usyk has an undefeated record of 29 wins (including the World Series of Boxing). Dubois holds a record of 22-2.
