Harrison, who split two bouts with current undisputed world champion Jermall Charlo, had succes in the first three rounds with his jab. However, Tszyu's hard punches, particularly his uppercuts, soon began to take their toll on Harrison. The visiting American, trained by his brother for this fight, became less mobile and lacked the power to keep Tszyu at bay. When the wild-swinging knockdown came in round nine, Harrison beat the count, but was prevented from continuing by the referee, which was a fair ruling.
