Justin Pauldo and Jerry Perez made the lightweight limit for Wednesday's Probox TV event at the Whitesands Events Center in Plant City, Florida. Both weighed in at 134.4 pounds. Pauldo (16-1) has not lost a fight since 2015. Pauldo, who lives in Texas, defeated Eduardo Estela in his last fight held in August and arrives very motivated. Perez is 14-3-1 and is a Californian. His last fight was a July loss against former 130-pound champion Joseph Diaz Jr. in a fight in which he went the ten-round distance. His two other losses were to quality opponents Frank Martin and Michel Rivera.
The main event will see Argentina’s Guido Schramm (16-1-2, 9 KOs) collide with Venezuela's Johan Gonzalez (33-2, 33 KOs) in a junior middleweight ten rounder. Schramm was last in action this past August scoring a majority decision draw against previously undefeated Paul Kroll. The Argentine champion is four fights undefeated, a unanimous decision win against the undefeated Jahyae Brown the most notable of his recent victories in California seven months ago. Gonzalez picked up a fifth-round knockout victory over Ricardo Ruben Villalba in Plant City, his American debut.
