Queensberry Promotions revealed that super middleweight force Zach Parker (20-0) will box Sherzod Khusanov (22-2-1) in Parker's second fight under the Queensberry banner. The fight takes place on Sautruday, July 10th at London's Royal Albert Hall. Khusanov represented Uzbekistan in the 2000 and 2004 Olympics. Now 41, Khusanov and world championship finalist as an amateur. However, Khusanov's best days were at 154 and 160 pounds, not 168.
Parker, coming off a win over Vaugh Alexander in March, tweeeed, "Who’s ready for this weekend then cause I am! So happy to be fighting so soon after my last fight just wanna say massive thank you to my team."
Parker-Khusanov serves as a warm-up for two light heavyweight bouts: Lyndon Arthur against Italian champion Davide Faraci (15-0, 7 KOs) over twelve rounds, and Dwight Yarde (20-2, 19 KOs) versus Germany's Emin Atra (17-0, 12 KOs) in a ten rounder.
