According to the WBC,  undefeated Gilberto Ramirez (pictured) has communicated through his management that ramirez has changed his mind about facing Marcus Browne for the WBC interim light heavyweight belt. According to the WBC, "It is unfortunate as team Ramirez had asked for an extension to the free negotiations period only to back out at the last minute, consequently the purse bid scheduled for tomorrow has now been cancelled." Ramirez is a former IBF super middleweight champion who is now self-promoted after severing ties with Top Rank.
